Valentine's Day 2013 at The Singapore Flyer

2/17/2013

Hi everyone, sometime ago i won a pair of tickets to the Singapore Flyer. I wish to share my delightful experience at every turn on my blog.

Launched in 2008, at a height of 165m, Singapore Flyer is the world’s largest Giant Observation Wheel and also one of Asia’s biggest tourist attractions. It is a panorama that captures Marina Bay’s skyline with a glimpse of neighbouring Malaysia and Indonesia.

Each capsule has a 28-person capacity and each revolution takes approximately 30 minutes.

I have chosen to embark on this amazing flight with my partner during Valentine's Day. And we are going on the Singapore Sling Flight as we heard so much about this amazing drink but had yet to try!

An all-time classic – the Singapore Sling is synonymous to Singapore and one of the nation’s best-known cocktails. Using only the most authentic recipe that was developed in 1915, guests can now look forward to a hand-shaken and chilled bona fide Singapore Sling served only onboard Singapore Flyer. Complementing the indulgence are the lovely city sights seen from different altitudes atop the world’s largest Giant Observation Wheel.

Enough said? So check out our flight experience!

I was advised to check in 1/2 an hour before my actual flight-timing. We got our tickets through the Guest Check in counter beside the seafood paradise restaurant. It was hassle-free and the counter service officer was very friendly.
This is the capsule which we will be embarking on. The service crew was also very friendly. He escorted us all the way from the guest service centre to the capsule.

Amazingly decorated and beautiful capsule. We were so lucky to have it all by ourselves! Privacy! Heh heh! It was pouring heavily outside but we still enjoyed our ride with the paranomic views. The sofa that they had were soft seats, unlike the normal ones which are harder.
Our Singapore Sling! Taste great. It speaks much of the cheery tropical sunny island! Decorated with a slice of pineapple and cherry! Very fruity, zesty, light and refreshing with an ending touch of alcohol, not too strong.

Truly a different view at each turn. You can see the F1 track from below, the busy Singapore CBD area and Suntec City building. Marina Bay Sands and Art Science Museum, Gardens by the bay, Cloud Forest and flower Dome building. Spectacular views!

With this, I would like to thank Singapore Flyer for the amazing experience and cheers to a great 2013. And for those who are still contemplating, go on and book your flight today!
