Product Review: Hi-Tea Loose Tea - Ginseng Flower
4/20/2016
Drinking flower and fruit tea yields great health benefits as they generally help to detox and cleanse our internal body systems, keep our body hydrated and is a better choice compared to taking sodas and sweetened soft drinks.
I am back once again this round, to introduce you to some different loose teas from Hi-Tea. I have recently tried this strong tasting, slight sweet, slight bitter, up-lifting Ginseng Flower Tea which has proved to be a popular hit with many Hi-Tea bloggers. This tea is a love for me as I love the "herbal" taste.
The Ginseng Flower Tea is consumed to:
✿ Reduce blood pressure
✿ Lower blood glucose levels
✿ Lower fat level in the blood stream
✿ Improve digestion and gastrointestinal function
✿ Prevent menopause symptoms in women
✿ Reduce Risk of Cancer
Drinking Time:
☀ - Take it in the morning to feel instantly perked and recharged (recommended)
☾ - Take it in the evening for a good night sleep (Some may feel perked up, depending on your body)
Contents:
✿ If you open up the sachet, you can see these dried ginseng flowers attached with their stems. These flowers taste exactly like the actual ginseng slices which you get in typical herbal soups.
Brewing and serving instructions:
✿ Each sachet can be brewed up to 3 times using hot water (based on a 300ml infusion rate).
✿ Infuse the tea and do a quick rinse off and pour it away, before infusing it for the second time and letting it sit before consumption. Do not soak it for too long during the wash as the taste of the tea gets milder with every infusion.
✿Seep tea for 3-5 minutes and increase the seeping time with every brew for stronger taste.
✿You can infuse the tea with the tea bag or opened it up on a tea strainer.
✿You can add honey or rock sugar for a sweeter taste if the tea is too strong or bitter to your liking.
✿You can take this drink chilled, but for better benefits and taste i would recommend sipping it while it is hot.
Colour:
✿The Ginseng Flower tea gives off a pale, close to transparent hue of yellow after infusing.
Taste:
✿Strong tasting, slight sweet, slight bitter, up-lifting, good for blood circulation when sipping hot.
Storage:
✿Keep the tea in a cool and dry place.
Where to purchase:

Price:
✿$22.90 for box of 10 sachets , look out for on-going promotions.
