The first quarter of the year has flew past so quickly, so what have you acheived? (I know, I sound somewhat like your boss doing your appraisal here). Have you reached your goals? What keeps a beautiful woman look confident? Is it her looks? Or is it her money? Is it her dreams? Is it how she work hard to acheive her dreams and aspirations?

I haven't been attending any blogging/beauty events this year as most of you know that I have been rather busy with my new work and examinations, however I am very grateful and thankful for some of these people whom I have met in the recent blogging years of my life who constantly look out for opportunities for me to share their products, services and match me up with their clients. I am also thankful for adhoc opportunities where companies approached me for paid advertisements, sponsoring products for reviews, services for trials and even some one-off collaborations. You know who you are, I would like to express my thanks.

As my site gains more popularity, views and readers, i hope to make more blogger friends, media friends and people from not only the beauty line, food industry and hopefully later even pet industry.

This may be a small number for many, but for a small blogger like me, this is some great acheivement.

I know that running my own business is not easy, especially with so many existing competitiors out there, just like having this beauty and lifestyle blog. I need to dedicate so much time into building something brand new, promoting my business, going for continuous training and upgrading my skills, building both an online and offline presense all over again, which also means sacrifices for time with family, time with friends and time with my blogger friends and fans. This is no joke.. this is hardwork. But, being able to give something back to the society in my very own way, this is worth all my time and effort even if it means no salary for the first few years.

I am not sure what and how my business will turn out eventually, but I know I have tried my best and I will have no regrets.

I have given up my 8-5 job, and a decent salary for my dreams. I hope that one day i will make it there and be able to share with you my success story.

Beauty Event and Product Review: Nuxe Merveillance Expert Fill Wrinkles and firm skin

Hello everyone! Recently I attended the new product launch of Nuxe Merveillance Expert in Antoinette Palais Renaissance. I guess this is the last few events which I'll be attending in 2015 as the year is ending in approximately 2 weeks time. How time flies ya?

I got a little lost in the beautiful setting trying to find where is the event room. So I tried to hold on for a moment and "spot" the crowd or wherever the others were heading.

I found our goodie bags and press kit sitted nicely on the fanciful couches waiting for us to pick up. Aha... this is the right place.

While waiting I decided to try some food. We were served, unlike the usual events where we had to pick up food on the buffet line. This was a neat idea. Love the small plates of finger food as I tried some of them.

There comes the beauty trainer Ryan Lau from Hong Kong, who charmed the crowd with his wit, humour and knowledge sharing about Nuxe and their new range, Nuxe Merveillance Expert. I Will share with you more in a while.

Nuxe Merveillance Expert is targeted at woman of all skin types aged fourty. Having said that, woman younger than that can use this range of products to protect their skin and defy aging. As you would have known by now, most Nuxe products contains unique properties from a certain flower as Nuxe is all about increasing demanding scientific expertise, constant research and innovation in floral based cosmetics.

Glycation causes our skin to age faster and prematurely due to the elevated levels of sugar in the blood.

Nuxe Merveillance Expert makes use of a dual Anti-glycation and De-glycation technology with the Dailylily to help the skin strengthen its resistance and architecture together with minmosa of Constantinople and performs anti-glycation (prevents sugar from binging and altering proteins) and de-glycation (eliminating sugar that are already present and repairs proteins) on the 3 major dermal proteins (Collagen, elastin and vimentin).

This is necessary to restore the original structure and functionality of the 3 major dermal proteins so that visible wrinkles are eliminated and the skin is firmed.

Testing the products on our hands and giving them a good whiff. Appreciate it that the lights in the room were adjustable and they made it so good for photo taking.

Mervellance Expert Nuit (Regenerating cream for visible lines)

Overall feel:
I don't have much complains about this range of products. They smell floral and great, doesn't feel oily and gets absorbed on the skin rather fast. I wouldn't comment much about the effectiveness of the product as I haven't really used them, besides I don't really have wrinkles and fine lines. Will share more when I use them. :)

I love being a Blogger

Blogging provides me with a platform to share my views, record my findings and make new friends who thinks alike. It brings me to new places, find me new dreams and makes me step out of my comfort zone. Blogging also makes me see pictures at a whole new level. Life is never the same anymore.

I used to wonder, why some people climb up on chairs, move plates on the dining table and make a big fuss just before their meal in order to take a picture. Now, I am a victim myself.

To be a good food blogger, you need to do justice to the dish by taking a good picture using a decent camera and describing the taste, looks and texture of the dish.

I used to wonder why some people would splurge on the latest make-up and skincare products just so that they can share it first hand on their instagram.

Now, I am one of them. This is where we as a blogger would appreciate it when a sponsor approaches and send you their highly raved products or offer you their latest service to try.

I love being a blogger because I get to be the first few in the market to try out the latest product which had yet to be launched and share it with my readers.

I am thankful to have met The Influencer Network (TIN) as they have provided me an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and for the very first time meet other fellow bloggers, and attended my first food tasting. Read my review here.

Don't mistaken me. I am definitely not complaining. I call this growing up, finding my passion and living my blogger dream. I have since gained some valuable readers and followers who recognize me for my efforts.

Being a responsible blogger means being prompt in your postings, taking decent shots, promoting the truth to your readers in clear and concise English, and not tarnishing the reputation of yourself and others. To achieve that, you need hard work, passion and the aspiration to become a better blogger. Perseverance pays, so don't expect instant results.

I love being a blogger and I certainly hope you will enjoy reading every single piece of my review. It is never easy and it take time and effort to become a prominent blogger. I hope to get the chance to embark in this journey and that you will continue to support me. Passion will take me where I want to go, no doubt i do not know who is reading this piece of work.

Beauty Product Launch Event : Black Paint at Alkaff Mansion Ristorante

This month seems to be full of events. Maybe its due to the Christmas season.
One weekday evening, I was invited to the launch of Black Paint event at Alkaff Mansion.

About Black Paint from Kyoto Japan
Black Paint market themselves as the skin care for pore, founded by Mrs Miyuki Maeda. The product has won 5 Grand Gold Medal Awards for a consecutive 5 years since 2009 - 2013.

Miyuki Maeda San believes in developing skincare products with the normal bacteria that resides in our healthy skin. She believes that these microorganisms has a natural healing power.

Restoration should take place using the body's natural healing properties, through skincare products that provides nutrients for microorganisms rather that with sterilizing or disinfecting properties to to clean the skin which is unnatural.

You can be assured that these products do not contain any harmful chemicals, preservatives, fragrances and alcohol that sterilizes or disinfects the skin, instead, you will be able to find vegetable, floral oils such as rose, argan and nut oil such as macadamia nut oil, that are natural and aids the cleansing of your pores and allowing your natural skin bacteria to cleanse and heal your skin.

I found myself going around taking photographs of the various product displays that the team had put up for us. Well done Cynthia and team. The displays were very nicely done up.

We helped ourselves with some light refreshments while waiting for the other bloggers to turn up and waiting for the product introduction.

With the help of a translator, Miyuki Maeda San told us the story of how she fell ill with a kidney condition and later had her daughter suffering from rashes all over her body as a result of the same condition that led her on researching for an "impossible cure".

She tried ways and means with different method of health management methods and dietary therapies as long as they are natural.

Her breakthrough in research was realizing the existence of intestinal microorganisms which she subsequently was able to overcome through proper health management.

Demonstration and blogger trial Session

After her introduction of Black Paint and its products, the bloggers were given an opportunity to try out the products as well as to watch the live demonstration.

There are 2 parts to Black Paints products. The first focus on facial cleansing, followed by Skin Care.

Facial Cleansing

1. Drip a few drops of vegetable oil onto your hands, make use of it to remove your eye make-up. As this is very oily, it is effective on strong eye make-ups.

This oil does not contain any cooking oil smell so don't be turned off by its name. It contains 11 kinds of organic oils and essential oils target to prevent wrinkles around your eyes caused by dryness. I am tempted to try this out.

2. Follow through with the Black Paint Soap for cleansing of the pores and removal of blackhead from your pores by a gentle massage motion. This bar of soap acts as an oil massage for your face as well. You are required to soak the soap to "melt" it before using all sides of the soap to wash it directly on your face.

Optional:
Make use of the Black sponge with or without cleanser, to remove waste on your face. It will absorb keratin and black head to reveal a translucent skin.

Skin Care

1. Drip about 3-5 drops of Best Water on to your palm and gently pat the skin toner into your skin. You can also make use of a facial mask paper to soak up the toner and apply it as a mask. This toner aims to tighten your pores with its moisture.

2. Gently shake to mix the Oil Water until it turns into a whitish/milky lotion. Drip about 3-5 drops of Oil Water on to your palm and pat into face. The rose oil smells really good, made of 1000 stalk of roses. It is not as oily as it looks.

3. Ostrich balm. As queer as the name may sound like, this product can be used as a regular moisturizer. Apply on extremely dry areas or you may use it like a lip balm.

4. Apply the Water Cream to your face gently, you will see water droplets forming. If used in the day, allow it to slightly dry before applying your regular make-up. If used at night, you may use it like a sleeping mask.

All the mentioned products should not be mixed with other product brands to see its true effectiveness. You should use it continuously for 28 days. There may also be possibilities of breakouts in the first few washes as your skin takes time to get use to this new product and routine.
