Althea did it again this month by launching a brand new product. I am getting parcels from them almost every month now in their oh so pretty pink box, and no complains, I'm loving them. I kind of feel that Althea will dominate the skincare product range soon as they now have everything from a face cleanser, toner, moisturizer to face mask. Under the make-up range, Althea also launched the various shades of petal velvet powders.

My personal skin care range is largely dominated by Althea products and they've been doing nothing but silently taking care of my skin. I have seen improvements after every single use and find myself loving their products more. They've also made me think... what's next?



Introducing to you the newest item launched by Althea. It is also a first time trying out a milk based peeling product.



The 3-step Milk Peel Cream Mask (50ml), is housed in a white press bottle with a baby blue cap. What is it? This is a milk peel cream mask face exfoliator which contains AHA and BHA extracts. It magically transforms from a clay-like texture to a whip cream upon lather. Gently removing your dead skin cells to reveal a healthy, moisturized, radiant and bouncy skin , washing away all those dead skin and flakiness.

Most importantly, it smells so good and is formulated with casein protein from milk to revitalize and moisturize your skin.

This product suits all skin types including the most sensitive type like mine but is specially tailored for users with enlarged pores, dry skin which requires moisturizing, rough but sensitive skin which requires gentle exfoliation and combination skin types.

How does it work? It contains AHA to remove dead skin cells on your skin's surface. BHA to remove impurities and declog your pores + milk to moisturize and refresh your skin.



To use it, simply apply an even layer of the product on to your face after wetting it. Massage the product until a foamy lather is formed. Leave it on for 30-60secs and wash off with warm water.





It is amazing to watch as it turns from clay to foam within seconds, simply by rubbing it on my hands.

I love how gently it exfoliate away my skin's dead cells yet protect my skin at the end of the exfoliating process. I also loved the smell of the product, somewhat like baby powder and will continue to use it as there are no negative effects thus far.

Always practice a patch test before you use any new products and know that because everyone's skin's condition is different, my results may differ from yours.

What I like best is that these serums is that they are super fruits infused such as the ones I now owned which contained Goji Berries, Yuzu  and Blueberries.

I love the colourful bottles of serum which looked like a rainbow collection . It's unfortunate that I do not own the whole collection. Currently I have 4 variants as shown on the photo above. I still lack 4 variants.



I do also like how easily I can twist my cap where this motion will bring my serum up onto the dropper, and dispense the serum on to my palm without having to introduce air bubbles and risk product contamination in my bottle of serum. The glass bottles also allows me to see how much serum I am left with in them, so that I can replace them as and when I need. The colourful bottles will also instantly lift up my mood somehow, marketing gimmick or not, it works. I do prefer my skincare products packaged in glass over plastic bottles because they environmental friendly.

I loved all of my serums and have tried various combinations. I am using the Hydrating, Soothing and Whitening serum in the day because I work in an air-conditioned environment running my own business.

At the same time, I also have to travel outdoors for my meetings and engagements. In the night, before bedtime, I use a combination of the Anti-aging, Soothing and Hydrating serums. So far this combination of serums seems to work best for me on top of my current skincare regime. I do not see any skin breakouts, allergies or flaky skin despite having a very, very sensitive skin.



I am also very fortunate to be given the opportunity to try out the legendary IRÉN skin vaporizer ($338) which is very much loved by beauty enthusiasts because it is so functional. Oh! I love it so much that I can't live without it. I really do feel like filling it up with every skincare liquid i own.



The skin vaporizer enables the most immaculate even application of your skincare products with a single button operation. There is totally no need for hand-to-skin contact, reducing the risk of product contamination and bacteria infiltration. The ultra-high pressure also enables a deeper skin penetration. I like the way the serums settle slowly on my skin as if my skin is enjoying a face spa when i spray over, yet it just feels that my face is air-brushed rather than me squirting products on my face, making a mess all over.



*Personal Tip:
If you hold it closer to your skin, sometimes the skin gets a little sticky and you'll be tempted to pat in the serums. You can do it, however if you finish up your serums, you can make use of the gentle air in your vaporizer to dry the serums. This works well for me all the time.

Unlike the regular mist spray bottle, the skin vaporizer splits the serum into nano-sized particles allowing faster penetration. You don't even have to worry about charging your vaporizer as you'll only need to re-charge it once every 2weeks. Its been a week for me, using the vaporizer day and night, the power supply is still going strong.

I do have a habit of washing my hands each time i pat on my skincare products but with the skincare vaporizer, I don't have to do that anymore. All I have to do is to mix my serums or whenever I am in need of a quick fix, I'll just drip 1-2 drops of my desired serums and give them a good swirl in the small container within the vaporizer to mix them up.



I highly recommend the IRÉN serums and vaporizer and I do feel that you should invest in a set of these skincare because you too can be busy and beautiful.

Astalift recently held a workshop at Wisma Atrium where Samplestore Influencers and members got an opportunity to experience their premium products and learn more about the product benefits from their beauty trainer Jason.



I was very honored to be the selected few Samplestore Influencers to be invited for this event. Wearing red as it is near the Lunar New Year and because Astalift premium range of products are their "red range" too.

This product is actually one of my favorite despite the many products shared as I am a very firm believer of investing in a good sunscreen. This could be because I have very fair skin and I tend to get pigmentation easily. You can even apply the product over your eyes, over your make-up and there is no need to touch up the product at all even if you are outside.



A volunteer had Astalift White Perfect UV Clear Solution applied to one side of  her face and the other side was left uncovered. She mentioned that she used a sunblock on her skin. Under the UV light, we can witness so clearly that the Astalift White Perfect UV Clear Solution is still visible on her while her own sunscreen is "gone" by the time the scan was done.

I later went on to had a chat with Jason and he shared about one workshop participant who challenged him to the UV scan, only to realised that the only reason why his UV sunscreen was so lasting was because she was using the Astalift White Perfect UV Clear Solution and was making fun of him.

I also took the opportunity to learn more about Astalift from him. If you had noticed, the products in the premium range had a nice rosy red colour to it, this comes from Asataxanthin which is a key ingredient in their products.
