SampleStore.com - Ka Bloom my thoughts and feedback

Last week I was invited by Samplestore.com for their Ka Bloom event in conjunction with the relaunch of their new website.

Many of us here are beauty panelist with SampleStore.com, but some are more privillege than others to receive more products that they deemed suitable for you to review, while others either envy those who received more products or just wait in silence for their turn. This is reality!

Nevertheless, I decided to attend the Ka Bloom event. There was some confusion to the timing of the event, but I managed to make it in time before the mass public strolled in.
I would really appreciate if they had seperated the event into 2 days or with a bigger gap in between so we get to mingle with other bloggers.

With the public coming in, it was really hard for us to visit the booths, take nice photographs and mingle around with everyone. There were some confusion from the staffs, they do not know what is "beauty panelist", they kept asking are you the "beauty editior"? That puts us in further confusion.

I am not too sure if its real and if anyone ate it in the end.

I tried the chocolate one which was nice and spongy, the idea of eating it as a pop was simply brillant. The only downside is that it contained too much cream and tasted a little too sweet.

Eggless puddings for you? Tried some from Tracy's and it tasted quite nice. Saw some people taking more than 1 of them and some even brought them home.

Interesting looking cookies laid on the table. I guess they are sweet, didn't take any either.

These are like acne patch that you paste on your face to get rid of pimples. They come in both day and night patches. The night patches are thicker.

Tsubaki had spa and the latest camellia hair oil. The headspa feel like having some popping candies on my head. You can really feel the sizzling sensation. My hair feels so good after that.

Its been something I've wanted to try forever since I set my eyes on them. But strangely how I never got a chance to review. Finally tested it. It smelled very good and made my hair shine and smooth. The bottle looks like a perfume, so cute.

Heres Tracy and myself posing for a wefie while i waited for her to finish "lunch" and us doing some catch up. She never fails to make my day. I'm looking forward to attending more events with you! Yay!

We decided to head home after that due to the crowd strolling in. I did not manage to visit all the booths as some of them are too busy entertaining others and didn't really seem to bother. *sad*

Verdict:

I did not take the AFC Ultimate Enzyme Drink according to the weightloss diet plan. I took it as a health drink (like a supplement) in the morning before breakfast, in the afternoon to complement my lunch and sometimes in the night before going to bed. The drink taste a little sourish, but the taste is acceptable. There is no one ingredient that particularly stands out.

I do observe a significant increase in bowel movements the first time I took the drink.
Perhaps through that, I have managed to achieve some weightloss. I feel less lethagic in the day and get to sleep better through the night. I have taken this drink over a week by now and my body is quickly adapting to it.

I did not experience any skin rashes, allergic reaction or nausea from this drink which some people may experience in the first 10 days, following strictly to their weightloss plans. However, during the initial 2 days I did experienced laxative effect. (2-3 times within the morning after taking the drink).

My first Glamabox review - September

I am sure by now most of you have heard of beauty boxes. There are several brands in the markets which are offering you a box full of goodies monthly, bi-monthly, and quarterly.

While some brands allows you to select the products which you like, other brands market them as a "surprise" box, where they will carefully curate the products according to your skin profile.

Today I am going to share with you more about such subscription services and be showing you one of the beauty boxes that I am currently onboard with.

So I finally received a glamabox for the month of September for review, delivered right to my door step. I missed this kind of feeling, so personalized. They delivered on time as they promise.

Check out the products and brands, some of which are not available in Singapore.

My box full of goodies. Brands and items included in my box are mostly deluxed sized, if not in sachets. A total of 8 brands included. So, when I read 4-5 items in their website. I feel they have exceeded my expectation and over delivered on their promise. *Thumbs Up*

Let me go over the items with you and some of my experiences.

Re:cipe Lemon Slowganic Cleanser - $71.80 for 100g

I was given 10g of Lemon Slowganic Cleanser (face cleanser), where 98% of it is made from natural ingredients. There is greentea, 7 kinds of supreme essential oil, 12 kinds of plants and fresh cream in it.

Thoughts:
What is interesting to me is that this little container of face cleanser is very nicely packaged and it can be used both as a face cleanser and as a mask. As it is made from natural ingrediants, users with sensitive skin can use this at ease. Take a look at the texture of the product, looks like some egg mousse. It is very light in texture and goes off easily when washed, leaving you with a faint refreshing lemon scent.

Enita Lemongrass series (2 in 1 shower lotion 40ml + Body Balm 10ml + Bergot Tea and Aloe Sugar Butter Scrub 5ml)

-Lemongrass 2 in 1 shower lotion 300ml $30,
-Lemongrass essential butter 200ml $23,
-Bergot Tea and Aloe Sugar Butter Scrub 190g $24.

The 2 in 1 shower lotion is a gentle and non-drying shower lotion that works with the warm and humidity of your shower for a soft and smooth skin after one use. It contains mild and gentle surfactant to ensure a clean rinse that is non-drying and to give your skin a long-lasting moisture.

The body balm is blended with shea butter and argan oil, which moisturize and replenish the dry and uncomfortable skin.

The Bergot Tea and Aloe Sugar Scrub is enriched with Aloe Leaf Extract, to provide deep hydration and anti-inflammatory protection which helps calm the sensitive skin and repairs damaged cells and stimulates skin regeneration. The aloe leaf extract provides you with whitening and sun protection effects. The butter scrub on the other hand, is a blend of Apricot seed powder, natural sugar crystals, argan oil, olive oil and shea butter. These ingrediants helps to boost blood circulation and smoothes away dead skin cells to keep your skin refined and radiant.

Thoughts:
I have tried both products (except the scrub) and they give me a "Spa sensation". I will be bringing these products on my next trip (Hopfully i'll remember to save some). Best to be used at night for a relaxing shower under a warm water rain shower.

Dermal Rose Collagen Essence Mask $2.60 per piece.

This mask contains Rose Water and is effective for moisturizing dry and rough skin, keeping your skin bright and elastic.

Olive Oil Skin Care Company - Handmade Pure Castile Body Wash (Unsecented) , $29.10 for 500ml

Its pure and contains no other additives.

Thoughts:
Looks rather watery, I didn't really like the feel of it, and yes it feels rather oily and smells oily too.

Sebamed - Viso Active Hydro Gel $29.80 for 50ml

This product contains hyaluronic acid and aloe vera to promote cell regeneration. While Allanton and panthenol can smoothen and renew skin. You will see a significant improvement in your skin's moisture content and a significant reduction in skin roughness. Suitable for sensitive skin users.

Thoughts:
It has a very light gel-lish texture but it doesn't feels sticky on the skin when applied. I like the gentle floral-like smell when i massaged it into my skin.

Exsicata Hydrating Anti-Aging Night Cream, $161 for 50g

It contains an exclusive formula with plant-derived actives to nourish, smoothen and firm the skin. Contains botanical extracts of Pfaffia Paniculata (Brazilian Ginseng), Caesalphina Spinosa, and Scutellaria Baicalensis to reduce signs of facial ageing.

LSnP Moisture Shampoo + Moisture Conditioner Shampoo $11 for 480ml, Conditioner $11 for 480ml

This product helps to make your hair smoother and shiner. It contains grape seed oil which is highly anti-oxidant and creates a protective case on top of your hair to prevent moisture loss and hair splits.

Thoughts:
Tried it and it works for me, love the pleasant smell and smooth texture that it has left on my hair.

All Belle Nail Air Patch Stickers, 12 stickers for $5.40

These patches are easy to use by sticking on your nail, and filing away the excess stickers. There are over 800 patterns to choose from.

All Belle - Oxy - Fibre Fasle Eyelash, 5 pairs for $17.50

All their lashes are made of virgin synthetic fibre, each pair of eyelashes shows you the perfect curve naturally. Eyelashes are SGA certified and GAMMA Ray sterilized and they do not contain recycled components.

Thoughts:
The eye lashes looked very durable and natural and they even included glue in it.

Kudos to the Glamabox team for this amazing and generous box of beauty products.

Beauty Service Review: Immortelle Atelier - Same Same but Different

Cocoon Facial 9/17/2014

Dear readers, you may have read from my previous blog post about my experience in Immortelle Atelier, if not you can read here. So i was invited back for a facial because my face was not ready the previous time due to some sensitive issues.

Back to the familar Immortelle Atelier salon for my facial. They are located in United Square Shopping Mall, Level 2. Beside Toys'R'us.

Previously i was using the other room, I kind of prefer this room as I find it slightly bigger and spacious.

The comfy bed was ready and a "bathrobe" was prepared for me to change into. Pardon for the lack of photos showing you the facial process as it was quite inconvenient for my facial spa therapist to be taking photographs and doing treatment for me at the same time. Let me tell you the process briefly.

This time, I was treated to a Maria Galland Cocoon Mask Treatment, lasting about 120 minutes, for SGD $128.

The facial spa therapist used some lavender essential oil and did a face and neck massage for me, then she cleansed my face and begain my facial. During this process, my eyebrows were also trimmed neat, pimples extracted (without face steaming). I was then treated to the Cocoon mask.

The uniqueness about the Cocoon mask treatment is that it combines an effleurage and therapeutic massage, where you could immediately compare both sides of your face. It feels firmer and less saggy as compared to before the massage was done. This massage stimulate metabolism and fight against the harmful effects of stress. A 2 layered mask was applied on me, on the top part is a slightly heated mask and applied on the bottom was a cooling mask. This is the first time I experienced a "double masking" effect. It feels very comfortable on my skin. the Cocoon mask is suitable for all skin types, even for people with sensitive skin like me (tested and proven).

Benefits of Cocoon mask includes:

Renews skin, improves resilience.
Relaxes the face while firming up the connective tissue.
Smoothens and moisturizes the skin

Most of the products that the facial spa therapist used on me were from Maria Galland hydration range and it was my first encounter with this brand. The products are mostly floral based, so they smell exceptionally good.

The Maria Galland 63 cleansing cream which has a rather thick texture.

The Maria Galland 98 Intense action hydrating serum which my skin loved.

The most interesting product used in the facial was this Maria Galland Warming effect foam mask which feels like whip cream but holds and last "forever". It doesn't collapse or oxidize in the air when applied on my face. I love the slight warming effect.

Various other products were applied on me including the rich and thick toner which my thirsty skin absorbed in a super fast speed.

I had a very relaxing massage and facial.

Check out the latest Jyunka Extreme Hydrant Serum. I totally loved the texture and it absorbed into my skin super fast.

I was also thankful that my facial spa therapist applied some Jyunka tinted sunscreen on me before I head back home. I have yet to try the sunscreen until that day and I loved the product as it blends nicely with my skin tone.

You should really try the treatment yourself because the results were so amazing!
