Got a sweet tooth? Hands up! I love sweet treats as they never failed to lift my mood. In the past, whenever I feel down, my mum would buy me a small cake from the neighboring bakeries when she comes back from work. 

Even for my birthday, she would never forget to buy me a small cup cake and celebrate it with me, even though she dislike birthday celebrations. I will never forget those tough times, that were sweetened by her simple actions of buying me simple treats such as these. She always claim that she doesn't like to eat them, so that I can get a bigger slice. Oh well, mums be mums right?

You can imagine that I was smiling quietly inside me when Cake Delivery Singapore approached me to try out some of their cakes from their newly launched cakedelivery.sg website. I love having cakes, though we hardly have them, as they do not often come cheap.

Cakes Delivery Singapore is made up of Bakers with more than a dozen years of experience, whom once worked at high end bakeries and hotels, educated in Europe, coming together, setting up their business solving the issues of boring, mundane cakes which we get from typical bakeries. They also solve your issues of last minute cake sourcing for surprise cake parties and late night deliveries.

Please note that this option is highly popular, subjected to cakes availability, and I would not recommend you to make a last minute purchase on this. Do check their availability if you are going to commit to the flavours of the cake to anyone or you may have to leave them disappointed.

We loved the variety of flavours available that allowed us to try different flavors for variety sake, but would recommend the cake slices to be placed with a divider of some sort, either using a cake liner, dolly paper or packaged individually as some of the cake slices begin to fall apart as we "unbox" our cake. 

In terms of branding, it would be good to have some sticker labels, name cards, or even logo and name printed somewhere on their box, which was nowhere to be found.

Our favourite is the Chocolate Ganache, well loved for its rich chocolatey taste, not overly sweet followed by the Ondeh Ondeh for its burst of uniqueness, creativity, coconutty Singaporean flavors & Chocolate Rainbow cake for its surprisingly light fluffy texture and aesthetically beautiful and nice to look at, layered appearance. 

The bubble gum cake does smell a little like bubble gum, but it tasted somewhat similar to the Rainbow cake. I loved how they marry the colours for its super pleasing appearance and I swear I could look at them all day long!

We were also amazed that though we kept the cakes in the refrigerator over a few days, they were still delicious, fluffy and soft, unlike those in normal bakeries which may had already gone sour, turn bad or taste hard.

We would highly recommend you to try the cakes at Cake Delivery Singapore, and if given another opportunity, we would certainly love to try the other varieties available such as their cheese cakes.
