4/20/2021Tzecharking.com is started by a group of tzechar regulars with chefs with more than 20 years of experience in the industry. They promise to use only ingredients that are the best and freshest in their local, heartland tzechar dishes, so as to satisfy their customer's taste buds.

Bonus: They have a set meal option which is available at $88. It comprises of a chili crab dish, caipo beancurd, coffee pork ribs and classic fried rice. (Upsize option for each of these individual dishes are also available) . I think that this is a very value for money option with most of the recommended dishes, therefore I went for this!

What I ordered:
Set Meal which comes with Chili Crab, Cai Po Beancurd, Coffee Pork Ribs & Classic Fried Rice.
I also ordered my husband's favorite Prawn Paste Chicken Wings and fried Calamari Rings. (They have kindly included the mantou and a small box of agar agar dessert for us which is a very nice gesture.)
Overall Experience with Tzecharking.com :
❀ The ordering process was a breeze, very easy and straightforward. I think the set meal option is a brilliant idea as well, since it included most of the recommendation dishes. It would be even better if there were swopping options or other types of set meal available. Perhaps they can look into it in future.
❀ It was also nice to include the different type of chili, sauce and mayonnaise, but other than the mayonnaise the rest of them didn't quite appeal to us.
❀ The delivery came on time within the time bracket as well, and our food was delivered piping hot looking appealing. The delivery guy was also friendly.
*sampling size of fried rice, they have provided quite a big portion, this is only 1 bowl
❀ The coffee ribs smelled quite good and tasted decent, the fried rice had some wok hey, was a little oily but overall acceptable.
❀ Other than the dishes mentioned above, the rest of the dishes underperformed based on our expectation. The highlight, chili crab was lacking in flavor, we didn't even touch the gravy and the crab wasn't fresh as well. The meat was sticking on the shells and its meat was falling apart. Even the mantou somehow falls short.

❀ The caipo beancurd's beancurd was nicely fried, we expected the caipo to be fried crispy, but it didn't turn out to be so, it was a little disappointing too.
❀ The fried calamari rings had a super thick layer coating of flour to it, and had very little squid, tasting very rubbery. It was rather disappointing as well. The prawn paste chicken was average, it could be better in terms of its flavour, where it needs to be more prominent, but it wasn't too salty.
The experience stated above is purely personal, based on our family's liking. However, we leave the decision to try out their food to you.
